Certifications
Texas does not require roofing contractors to be licensed, which means anyone with a truck and a ladder can call themselves a roofer. T Rock Roofing & Contracting chooses to be licensed, certified, and verified by the industry’s most demanding organizations. Every credential below can be checked directly with the issuer.
Licensed by RCAT
T Rock holds License #03-0619 from the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, the state’s voluntary licensing program and the most rigorous credential available to Texas roofers. RCAT licensing requires proven experience, passing a comprehensive exam, and carrying proper insurance.
FORTIFIED Roofing Contractor and Home Evaluator
T Rock holds both FORTIFIED credentials from the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety: Roofing Contractor and Home Evaluator. Few companies hold both. FORTIFIED roofs are engineered for high-wind performance and can qualify Texas homeowners for insurance discounts.
CertainTeed ShingleMaster PRO
T Rock has held CertainTeed’s ShingleMaster PRO credential since 2018. ShingleMaster is CertainTeed’s contractor certification for shingle roofing systems, requiring credentialed installers and adherence to CertainTeed’s application standards, and it qualifies T Rock to offer CertainTeed’s enhanced SureStart PLUS warranty coverage on qualifying systems. Verify our listing in CertainTeed’s Find a Pro directory.
Tile Roofing Industry Alliance Certified
T Rock is certified through the Tile Roofing Industry Alliance, the national trade organization that sets installation standards for clay and concrete tile roofing. TRI certification requires completing the Alliance’s manual-based training on tile installation for high-wind regions and passing its certification exam, training that matters in North Texas, where tile roofs must be engineered against the same storms that destroy lesser systems. Verify our certification on the Tile Roofing Industry Alliance installer directory.
EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm
T Rock is certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a Lead-Safe Certified Firm under the federal Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule. Homes built before 1978 may contain lead-based paint, and roofing work that disturbs painted surfaces, fascia, soffits, siding edges, and older flashing, can release lead dust that is hazardous to children and pregnant women. Federal law requires any contractor disturbing paint in pre-1978 homes to hold this certification and follow lead-safe work practices: containment, controlled demolition, and specialized cleanup. Many roofers working in Dallas’s older neighborhoods do not carry it. Verify our certification through the EPA’s Lead-Safe Certified Firm lookup.
